Hex Dumbbells
Our hex dumbbells are a staple in any serious training environment. The hexagonal shape prevents rolling, providing a stable base for floor exercises like renegade rows and dumbbell push-ups. Perfect for those who want a full rack of weights without sacrificing room, these versatile tools allow you to quickly change resistance levels. Whether you are performing light isolation movements or heavy compound lifts, an adjustable dumbbell adapts to your evolving strength needs seamlessly.
Dumbbell Sets
For a complete training solution, explore our comprehensive dumbbell sets. Purchasing a set is a cost-effective way to ensure you have a variety of weights at your disposal. This variety is crucial for progressive overload, allowing you to gradually increase your lifting capacity. Our sets are designed to cater to all fitness levels, providing the foundation for a robust strength training regimen.
Rubber Dumbbells
Experience superior durability and comfort with our premium rubber dumbbells. The thick rubber coating not only extends the life of the weight but also minimises impact damage to your gym flooring. FAQs
What is the best type of dumbbell for a home gym?
For most home gyms, adjustable dumbbells or rubber hex dumbbells are ideal. Adjustable options save space by combining multiple weights into one system, while hex dumbbells provide stability and protect flooring.
Can I build muscle with dumbbells only?
Yes, dumbbells are highly effective for building muscle and strength. NZ gyms use dumbbells to allow a full range of motion, help correct muscle imbalances, and support both isolation and compound exercises for full-body training.
Is a 5kg dumbbell too heavy for beginners?
It depends on the exercise. A 5kg dumbbell may be suitable for lower-body movements but too heavy for upper-body isolation exercises. Beginners often benefit from starting lighter and progressing gradually.
Are rubber dumbbells better than cast iron?
Rubber dumbbells are generally better for home use because they protect floors, reduce noise, and resist rust. Cast iron is durable but better suited to controlled training environments.
How do I maintain dumbbells?
Wipe dumbbells after use to remove sweat, store them in a dry area, and avoid harsh chemicals, especially on coated versions, to maintain longevity.
Do you ship dumbbells across New Zealand?
Yes, we provide fast and reliable delivery of dumbbells and dumbbell sets across all regions of New Zealand, including rural areas.
